JEFFREY MILLER CATERING
Certainly, the first consideration of any catered event is sumptuous food. Thanks to the talents of Aldie’s exclusive caterer, the Mercers would certainly approve of the cuisine served in their home today. The chef-owner of Jeffrey Miller Catering brings impeccable credentials to the Aldie kitchen, having apprenticed in such renowned New York restaurants as La Cote Basque, Le Cirque and Bouley, and at France’s Michelin-starred Moulin de Mougins and London’s Simpsons-in-the Strand.
The creativity in presentation, emphasis on freshness, and attention to detail that he learned at these world-class restaurants have helped create the high standards that define Jeffrey Miller cuisine today. Our menu includes many signature dishes from Jeffrey’s classical French training, while it also continues to evolve. Whether it is a rosemary-crusted rack of lamb, a saffron-scented Spanish paella, or a grilled side of Atlantic salmon, our New American cooking celebrates the imaginative and diverse flavors inspired by the lands that our clients, their parents, or grandparents once called home.
From a gourmet four-course seated dinner to a casual grazing bar reception, the Jeffrey Miller chefs use only the highest-quality ingredients and “from scratch” cooking techniques. The result is a culinary experience that can best be described as simply elegant. It's the perfect complement to Aldie's incomparable setting.

Aldie Mansion began its history as a beloved private residence. Commissioned by William and Martha Mercer as an ode to the English Tudor manor, this stately 1927 mansion evokes a time in America when craftsmanship reached an art form.Under the watchful gaze of the Aldie gargoyles, intricate brickwork, vintage leaded glass, antique tiles and charming garden ornaments have been faithfully preserved as part of Bucks County’s unique heritage.

In fact, William Mercer himself sculpted many of the mansion’s architectural details. The Mercers were renowned hosts during their years at Aldie, and they regularly welcomed international luminaries into their home. As you stroll about, it is easy to recall the spirited evenings when Groucho Marx joked at the dinner table, Isadora Duncan pirouetted in the garden and the Von Trapp family caroled in the Great Hall.An invitation to Aldie meant the anticipation of an affair to remember.

Much More ...
Past the brick and wrought-iron gates, on more than 10 acres of carefully tended grounds, stands Aldie Mansion. While its period charm adds to the ambiance of any special event, this restored mansion offers the space and amenities of a more contemporary venue.

In particular, the new 2,400-square-foot atrium presents many unique possibilities. Designed in keeping with Aldie’s Tudor architecture, it accommodates a formal dinner dance for up to 200 guests.

The original oak-paneled Library, Boardroom and Great Hall with its bluestone floor all feature distinctive fireplaces and are ideal for smaller gatherings.
