Heritage Conservancy's mission is to preserve our natural and historic resources, and we are continually seeking new and innovative ways to do that. Recognizing the key role of economics in decisions about land use, Heritage Conservancy works to provide an ever-expanding range of innovative and responsible economic opportunities to landowners and municipalities seeking to preserve their open space.

Heritage Conservancy began working with Renny Reynolds and Jack Staub of Hortulus Farm five years ago when we helped them permanently preserve their 100-acre farm in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania. Hortulus Farm includes 30 acres of formal and woodland gardens, historic structures, and the Hortulus Farm Nursery.

In March 2006, Renny and Jack generously gifted Hortulus Farm Nursery to Heritage Conservancy. Profits from Hortulus Farm Nursery now help fund the preservation efforts of Heritage Conservancy as well as the sustainability of Hortulus Farm.

Renny Reynolds and Jack Staub continue to own and maintain their farm, with its spectacular gardens and colorful family of farm animals. The gardens are open from May to October to groups of eight or more by appointment. Tours are arranged through the nursery at 215-598-0550.
