National Geographic is helping to conduct a BioBlitz in a different national park each year leading up to the U.S. National Park Service Centennial in 2016. Watch this video of the Saguaro National Park BioBlitz to better understand what Heritage Conservancy is trying to accomplish at Bristol Marsh:
*A BioBlitz is a 24-hour event during which teams of volunteer scientists, naturalists, students, teachers and community members work together to discover and identify as many species of plant and animal life as possible. The findings will help Heritage Conservancy make decisions about how to conserve these natural resources as we create a management plan for this important habitat.
