The Civil War’s “U.S. Colored Troops” & Their Local Stories

Civil War enthusiasts and history buffs should mark their calendars to learn more about The Civil War’s “U.S. Colored Troops (USCT)” and the Doylestown Connection.

When: Wednesday, May 15th from 7 pm – 9:30 pm ┬á

Location: Aldie Mansion, 85 Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown, PA

Speakers for the symposium include:

  • Bob O’Connor, Civil War author & historian
  • The Stratton sisters, whose grandfather served in the Union Navy
  • Tammy Schane, a Quester and a docent for Doylestown Cemetery tours, will discuss USCT veterans who are interred in the Doylestown Cemetery

All proceeds will benefit local preservation and restoration projects selected by the Featherbed Hill and Mercer Mile Questers. Questers is an international organization dedicated to the study of history and antiques, and the funding of local historic preservation and restoration projects.
