Holiday Happenings at Aldie Mansion!

Barbershop chorus "The Young and the Rest of Us" entertained at the Holiday Open House.

The holidays are in full swing at Heritage Conservancy and Aldie Mansion, kicked off by two great parties.

Our annual Holiday Open House attracted about 200 guests on Thursday, December 7. It was a wonderful opportunity for members of the public to explore the Mansion while enjoying entertainment and crafts planned and presented by Heritage Conservancy staff and many generous local volunteers.

Kids of all ages enjoyed making pinecone bird feeders with volunteers from Tabor Children's Services, listening to stories by local children's author Teri Lewis, watching Brownstone Puppet Theatre's "A Teddy Bears' Christmas," and meeting the Bucks County Search and Rescue dogs and their handlers—all while sampling goodies from The Cottage Cookies.

For the grown-ups, artist Donna Wooley was on hand to present and sign her beautiful pen-and-ink drawings of Aldie Mansion, and the barbershop chorus "The Young and the Rest of Us" provided festive holiday music.

The Conservancy's Membership Coordinator Sandra Yerger also led tours of historic Aldie Mansion.

Our 16th annual "Christmas at Aldie" gala fundraising dinner was held on December 3. Aldie Mansion was gorgeously decorated for the event by our generous volunteer planning committee and by the talented designers of Carousel Flowers and Hairy Mary's. Photography services were graciously donated by Angela Purcell Photography.

Both holiday events were underwritten by our Christmas at Aldie sponsors:
